Rafi VideosSubmitted by Ed on 17 May 2009 - 11:17pm.Katie's nephew Rafi did some nice work on the stairs this weekend (this one's a bit too dark really)... And also demonstrated the monkey dance... Track 30: Spring into SummerSubmitted by Ed on 5 May 2009 - 10:40pm.The last track! I've finally made it to the end of the month. I might take a little break from recording now this is done. Katie will be glad not to be tripping over mic leads and being submerged in piles of musical instruments. This last track is dedicated to my dad who observed that some of the tracks don't have much of a tune. I take that as a complement, but here to rebalance things a bit is a track that is pretty much only tune. Track 29: I told youSubmitted by Ed on 4 May 2009 - 10:33pm.Only one day left now... I thought I'd liberate my drum kit now that the Black Tonic set is not occupying the front room, so here we've got a full three piece band. I was trying to go for a kind of Stax feel, but it didn't really work out, however it has given me a renewed appreciation for what amazing musicians those guys were. Track 28: BuzzsawSubmitted by Ed on 3 May 2009 - 9:27am.I'm very excited to have got an iPod Touch for my birthday, so obviously the first thing I did was went in search of music applications, so far two different (very different) synthesizers. I only got started with this the other day, so I'm still learning. But hey, lack of skill has never stopped me using a new instrument all over my track-a-day. Be warned, though, you'll probably only listen to this once (if you even make it to the end). Track 27: Summer RowSubmitted by Ed on 2 May 2009 - 8:57pm.This track is only 45 seconds long. Track 26: Fan FilmSubmitted by Ed on 1 May 2009 - 9:55pm.Apparently some people have put together a fan film of Lord of the Rings on some tiny budget. I dedicate today's track to them. Nice one guys. Track 25: NanotechnologySubmitted by Ed on 30 April 2009 - 10:16pm.25! Getting close now, I can almost feel it. Less elaborate tonight, got to pace myself. Link. The Cat KnowsSubmitted by Ed on 29 April 2009 - 9:53pm.I was listening to a particularly good but now sadly disbanded band earlier on tonight, and felt inspired to try and copy them. Needless to say, it didn't turn out quite like that, but I had fun trying. See if you can figure out which band that might be; I'd be interested to hear. Here it is. Track 23: I rowed a boat across an ocean and no one met meSubmitted by Ed on 28 April 2009 - 8:08pm.Not a glossy recording with glossy singing, but it is in 5/4 (except where I forgot) and has a dropped D in the tuning (treble only). Here it is. Track 22: ReboundSubmitted by Ed on 27 April 2009 - 9:05pm.I went a bit mad with some filters that have been sitting unused on my computer. I'm trying to give my virtual instruments an airing as well as the real ones. Download. |
