The last track! I've finally made it to the end of the month. I might take a little break from recording now this is done. Katie will be glad not to be tripping over mic leads and being submerged in piles of musical instruments. This last track is dedicated to my dad who observed that some of the tracks don't have much of a tune. I take that as a complement, but here to rebalance things a bit is a track that is pretty much only tune.

Only one day left now...

I thought I'd liberate my drum kit now that the Black Tonic set is not occupying the front room, so here we've got a full three piece band. I was trying to go for a kind of Stax feel, but it didn't really work out, however it has given me a renewed appreciation for what amazing musicians those guys were.

I'm very excited to have got an iPod Touch for my birthday, so obviously the first thing I did was went in search of music applications, so far two different (very different) synthesizers. I only got started with this the other day, so I'm still learning. But hey, lack of skill has never stopped me using a new instrument all over my track-a-day. Be warned, though, you'll probably only listen to this once (if you even make it to the end).

Apparently some people have put together a fan film of Lord of the Rings on some tiny budget. I dedicate today's track to them. Nice one guys.

I was listening to a particularly good but now sadly disbanded band earlier on tonight, and felt inspired to try and copy them. Needless to say, it didn't turn out quite like that, but I had fun trying. See if you can figure out which band that might be; I'd be interested to hear. Here it is.
